Ministry of Supply aircraft recognition chart of a Lockheed Constellation (Cyclone 18), Army C-69. Issue 2, October 1946.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The Lockheed Constellation was an airliner aircraft. The C-69 was used for troop transport and was fitted with four Wright R-3350 Duplex-Cyclone 18 cylinder engines.
