Aircraft Recognition Chart: Master I
Ministry of Aircraft Production aircraft recognition chart of a Miles Master Mark I. Issue 2, October 1942.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The Miles Master was a trainer aircraft. The Master Mark I was fitted with a Rolls-Royce Kestrel XXX engine and 900 of them were produced.
