Aircraft Recognition Chart: Liberator II (4-Twin Wasp)
Aircraft recognition chart of a Consolidated Liberator Mark 2, Issue 1, November 1941.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training aid when learning to identify aircraft. The silhouettes made it easier for personnel to quickly determine whether an aircraft was friendly or hostile. The Mark 2 variant of this American heavy bomber was developed to British specifications, adding a deeper fuselage, longer nose section, and power turrets. The United States Army Air Force and RAF both operated this type.
