Aircraft Recognition Chart: Fiat CR 42
Ministry of Aircraft Production aircraft recognition chart of a Fiat CR.42 Falco. Issue I, August 1941.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The Fiat CR.42 Falco was a single-seat sesquiplane fighter aircraft. The original CR.42 variant was fitted with a Fiat A.74 engine.
