Aircraft Recognition Chart: Hastings
Ministry of Supply aircraft recognition chart of a Handley Page Hastings. Issue 2, April 1947.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The Handley Page Hastings was a troop-carrier and freight transport aircraft. The Hastings was fitted with four Bristol Hercules engines.
