Aircraft Recognition Chart: Mosquito II (2-Merlin)
Ministry of Aircraft Production aircraft recognition chart of a De Havilland Mosquito Mark F.II (2-Merlin). Issue I, July 1942.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The De Havilland Mosquito was a multi-role combat aircraft. The Mosquito Mark F.II was fitted with two Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engines and was used as a fighter aircraft.
