Aircraft Recognition Chart: Blenheim Marks I & IF (2-Mercury)
Ministry of Aircraft Production aircraft recognition chart of a Bristol Blenheim Marks I and IF (2-Mercury). Issue 1, November 1941.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The Bristol Blenheim was a multi-role aircraft. The Blenheim Mark I was used as a light bomber and the Mark IF operated as a long range night fighter. Both of these versions were fitted with two Bristol Mercury VIII engines.
