Aircraft Recognition Chart: CG-4A, Hadrian
Ministry of Aircraft Production aircraft recognition chart of a Waco CG-4A/Hadrian. Issue 2, November 1945.
Aircraft recognition charts were an essential training tool in learning to recognise aircraft. They depicted silhouettes of both allied and enemy aircraft and were used to help military personnel quickly identify whether an aeroplane was friendly or hostile. The Waco CG-4 or Hadrian was a glider aircraft primarily used for troop and cargo transport. The United States Army Air Force designated the aircraft as the CG-4A, while the British applied the service name of Hadrian. The aircraft was used by RAF squadrons 668, 669, 60, 671, 672 and 673.
