Strip map copied from GSGS2555 maps, sheets G39/40. With other strips of the GSGS4561 series this formed an aerial route book. This strip shows the route marked in red with headings and distances in statute and nautical miles from Sharjah to Bahrain via Abu Dhabi and Yas Island. In 1932 Imperial Airways established an air service including overnight stops at Sharjah which is now an Emirate of the United Arab Emirates, and this airfield later became RAF Sharjah.
