Recording of an interview by Squadron Leader Jackson Dymond with Peter Dicken Cracroft, who served in the RAF, including the Fleet Air Arm, from 1927 until 1958.
Peter Dicken Cracroft joined the RAF in 1927 and served with 408 Flight, in HMS Glorious in the Mediterranean. He went on to serve as an instructor at Leuchars, as adjutant in HMS Courageous, as Chief Flying Instructor for Oxford University Air Squadron at Abingdon and as CO of RAF Chivenor. After commanding RAF Nassau he was posted to South-East Asia Command, arriving in Ceylon on 10 August 1945.
