Interview with Group Captain H.V. Drew, who served in Royal Naval Air Service airships during the First World War. After the war he flew with 24 and 100 Squadrons.
Group Captain Drew joined the Royal Naval Air Service, and served in airships, including C.24 and R.23, and in airship trials. After the First World War he flew Bristol Fighters with 24 Squadron at RAF Kenley, including operations during the General Strike of 1926. He then served with 100 Squadron, flying Fairey Fawns and Hawker Horsleys from RAF Spitalgate. He later served in Iraq as an intelligence officer.
