Interview with Wing Commander A.G. Evenden, who served in the Royal Naval Air Service as an air mechanic. After the war he served with 100, 56 and 12 Squadrons.
Wing Commander Evenden joined the Royal Naval Air Service as an air mechanic in 1914. He served in the airship R.34, including its Atlantic crossing and in R.33. Wg Cdr Evenden later served with 100 Squadron, operating Bristol Fighters and with 56 Squadron at Hawkinge before being posted to Aden. On his return to the UK he was posted to 12 Squadron.
