Interview with Ronald Charles Fuller, who flew in Fairey Battles in France in 1940 and later in flying boats. He was a ground engineer with 463, 467 and 617 Squadrons.
Ronald Fuller joined the RAF in 1929, training as an apprentice at RAF Halton with the 19th entry. He trained as aircrew and flew in Fairey Battles in France in 1940. He flew as navigator in Stranraer flying boats, was commissioned and worked as a ground engineer with 463 and 467 squadrons, including Lancaster R5868 ‘S-Sugar’. He worked with 617 Squadron in preparation for raids on the battleship Tirpitz.
