Bust of Air Vice Marshal Sir Keith Park by Leslie Johnson, bronze
Sir Keith Park was a flying ace in the First World War. During the Battle of Britain, Park commanded No. 11 Group, Fighter Command, defending London and South East England.
This is the only bronze copy of a bust created by Leslie Johnson, showing Park wearing his personal civilian flying helmet, googles and life jacket. Johnson’s full length statue of Park was displayed on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square from November 2009 to May 2010. The statue is now on display outside the visitor centre at the Battle of Britain Bunker, Uxbridge.
