Interview with Christopher Lefroy, who served as a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force during the First World War before being taken prisoner.
Christopher Lefroy transferred to the Royal Flying Corps from the 11th Canadian Mounted Rifles in 1917. He trained at Castle Bromwich, Ternhill and Turnberry, served as a test pilot at St Omer and was posted to 43 Squadron, flying Sopwith Camels. He was shot down, seriously injured and taken prisoner in 1918. He worked in RAF flying control during the Second World War.
