Interview with Wing Commander James 'Jas' Storrer, who flew during the Battle of France and Battle of Britain. He served in various other roles including commander of 239 Wing in Italy.
Wg Cdr Storrar joined the RAF in 1938, and flew Blenheims and Hurricanes with 145 Squadron at Croydon, including the Battle of France and Battle of Britain. He flew with 73 Squadron and 421 Flight, flew Hurricanes in North Africa, was an instructor with 51 OTU and the Central Gunnery School, commanded 65 Squadron, flew Hurricanes with the Air Delivery Letter Service during Overlord, commanded 165 Squadron and 239 Wing.
