This menu was produced for the first dinner held for returning Prisoners of War and their families who were based in Worthing. Airborne repatriation of British prisoners of war was carried out by the Royal Air Force as part of Operation Exodus during the latter stages of the Second World War, from 3 April 1945 to 31 May 1945. Approximately 3,500 flights were launched, which returned around 75,000 men.
