Errol Walton Barrow from Barbados is in the middle row, third from left. Barrow became a navigator and completed 48 bombing operations. He became the first Prime Minister of Barbados in 1969. Leslie William Leigh from Sierra Leone is in the middle row, third from right. Leigh served in the RAF as a bomber pilot. In 1961, he was appointed the first African Commissioner of Police at Sierra Leone’s independence.
