Menu for VE-Day celebration dinner held at the Sergeants' Mess, RAF Khartoum, May 1945
Monochrome print menu featuring several cartoons around the edges.
Menu card collected by John White, who was a wireless operator at the Aircraft and Armaments Experimental Establishment. His flying log book records a series of flights in a Consolidated Liberator which departed Britain on 7 May 1945 and arrived via Malta and Cairo in Khartoum on the 9 May 1945. It is assumed that the crew of the Liberator were invited to join the VE Day celebrations held at the sergeants' mess, RAF Khartoum.
