Luftwaffe Anti-Aircraft War Badge
Originally devised as qualification badges for aircrew, the use of some trade badges became linked to combat experience. The Anti-Aircraft Badge was awarded according to a points system reflecting the types of engagements that individual had undertaken.
Trade badges were originally devised as qualification badges for aircrew. They were awarded on qualification and were the equivalent of the RAF’s wings or aircrew brevet. The use of trade qualification badges spread throughout the Luftwaffe with their award in some trades being linked to combat experience.
