Souvenir programme giving an overview of the national celebrations covering the week from Saturday 15 September to Saturday 22 September 1945, rather than on events at RAF Hendon
Programme for the first Battle of Britain day on 15 September with airfields holding aircraft displays and a fly past over London and Southern Counties. Between 17 and 22 September daily events were held at Trafalgar Square. Monday 17 September ‘Fighting Services Day’, Tuesday ‘Victory Over Japan Day’, Wednesday ‘Merchant Navy Day’, Thursday ‘British Empire Day’, Friday ‘Reconstruction Day’ and Saturday 22 September ‘Youth and the Future Day’.
