Interview with Squadron Leader Tim Gosling, who was a navigator in Hercules from the early 1980s, including long-range flights to the Falkland Islands, famine relief in Ethiopia and the Balkans.
Tim Gosling talks about his early life and training as a navigator in Dominie aircraft. He describes the navigation equipment used in the Hercules and remembers flying with 30 Squadron to Ascension Island during the Falklands war. He remembers flying with 70 Squadron, including famine relief in Ethiopia and flights to Berlin. He worked on the introduction of GPS and flew with 47 Squadron in the Balkans during the 1990s.
