Recorded interview with Wing Commander Geoff Collins, who flew as a navigator in Hercules aircraft between 1972 and 1989, including an exchange tour in Canada, the Falkland Islands and Ethiopia.
Geoff Collins remembers early life and training as a navigator at Henlow, Church Fenton and Finningley, in Varsity and Dominie aircraft. He remembers flying with 30 and 47 Squadrons, describes navigation equipment and recalls an exchange tour with 436 Squadron in Canada. He was then a navigation examiner and recruiting officer before becoming a flight commander on 70 Squadron, flying to the Falkland Islands and on famine relief in Ethiopia.
