Interview with Mick Clabby, who flew as a loadmaster in Hercules aircraft including the Falklands War and air-to-air refuelling tankers. He also participated in the 60th anniversary of Operation Overlord.
Mick Clabby recalls early life and joining the RAF in the supply branch. He then trained as a loadmaster in Hercules aircraft and flew with 30 Squadron, including flights to Ascension Island during the Falklands War. He converted to Hercules air-to-air refuelling tankers, and flew in the maritime reconnaissance role in the South Atlantic. He was involved in parachute drops from a Dakota for the 60th anniversary of Operation Overlord.
