Ian Harvey explains how he joined the RAF as an aircraft technical apprentice before training as a flight engineer in Hercules aircraft. He explains the role of a flight engineer and of Hercules. he describes his experience as a flight engineer in Nimrods during the Falklands War, before returning to the Hercules. He describes his experience of Hercules in the Falklands after the war and during the 1991 Gulf War.
