Interview with Bill Ragg, who flew as air quartermaster and air loadmaster in Hastings and Hercules aircraft. His experience includes air drop operations, the Falklands War and humanitarian aid operations.
Bill Ragg remembers joining the RAF as a radar technician before training as an air quartermaster in Hastings aircraft. He describes the Hastings and Hastings operations, conversion to Hercules and the comparison between them. He describes his extensive experience of air drop operations, including the Joint Air Transport Establishment and as an instructor. He participated in the Falklands War, humanitarian operations in Ethiopia and Somalia and the 1991 Gulf War.
