Recorded interview with Frank Roe, who worked as an engineer for the English Electric company and British Aircraft Corporation on the development of Canberra, Lightning, TSR2, Jaguar and Tornado aircraft.
Frank Roe remembers his engineering training and work for the English Electric company at Warton. He describes wind tunnel work for the Canberra and Lightning, use of a supersonic wind tunnel, work on the SB5 experimental aircraft and Lightning development, including work on radar and Red Top missiles. He remembers TSR2 development and cancellation, work with the French on Jaguar, development of Tornado and the early stages of Typhoon development.
