Recorded interview with Squadron Leader Ivor Llewellyn Jules Robinson, 3 August 2006
Squadron Leader Ivor Robinson trained as an apprentice at Halton and served at sea in Royal Navy aircraft carriers. He later served in the Far East and with the V-force.
Ivor Robinson joined the 34th Entry as an RAF Halton apprentice in 1936. He served with the Fleet Air Arm in the aircraft carriers HMS Ark Royal and HMS Glorious, and as an instructor in Canada. He served in India, Malaya during the Malayan Emergency, with Bloodhound missiles in Singapore and with Belvedere helicopters in Borneo. He worked with the V-force and commanded the General Engineering Squadron at RAF Lyneham.
