This order of service is an example of the commemoration and memorial services that took place following the end of the Second World War in Europe. VE Day or Victory in Europe Day is the day that commemorates the formal surrender of German forces and the halting of their military operations. In the United Kingdom, VE Day is commemorated on the 8 May 1945.
