RP-3 3in 25lb Rocket

Tubular rocket motor with four rectangular fins ( new) at the rear end fitted with 60lb explosive at other end.

The 60lb rocket, also known as the RP-3 (Rocket Projectile 3 inch) was introduced in the second half of the Second World War. They were used extensively in the ground attack role. Versions of the RP-3 with solid, non-explosive heads were also an effective anti-submarine weapon.
