Recorded interview with Air Vice Marshal Michael Donaldson, 10 December 2014

Mike Donaldson was a pilot in Lightning, F-106 and Phantom aircraft. He commanded 19 Squadron, RAF Wattisham and the RAF Staff College. He was 11 Group Senior Air Staff Officer.

Mike Donaldson trained as a Lightning pilot and flew with 23 Squadron at RAF Leuchars. He became an Interception Weapons Instructor and flew F106 aircraft with the United States Air Force. He was a flight commander on the Lightning conversion unit and commanded 19 Squadron with Phantoms in Germany. He was station commander at RAF Wattisham, commandant of the RAF Staff College and Senior Air Staff Officer at 11 Group.
