George Woodley completed RAF national service as a teleprinter operator at RAF Tern Hill and HQ Flying Training Command. He describes his work and gives his views on national service.
George Woodley remembers his experience of bombing during the Second World War and his national service call-up. After training at RAF Wilmslow and RAF Compton Bassett he was posted to 6 Flying Training School at RAF Tern Hill as a teleprinter operator. He describes his work and compares it to his subsequent posting to HQ Flying Training Command. He outlines his post-service life and gives his views on national service.
