Recorded interview with Terence Myers, who completed RAF national service as a cook. He describes his training and his role in catering for German prisoners on the Isle of Man.
Terence Myers recalls bombing during the Second World War, his national service call-up and basic training at RAF Wilmslow. He explains how his trade training as a cook was divided between RAF Halton and RAF Locking. He was posted to Andreas, Isle of Man, where he provided rations for German prisoners of war. He describes life on the Isle of Man, his demobilisation and gives his views on national service.
