A Vickers Armstrong promotional film produced in approximately 1951 (reputedly for the SBAC Air Display of that year). Features the history of fighter aircraft types developed by the Vickers Supermarine Company. Includes the Schneider Trophy series of racing seaplanes (S.5 and S.6) designed by R.J. Mitchell and their role in the genesis of the Spitfire. Several versions of the Spitfire and Seafire are depicted followed by the Spiteful and Attacker.
