Recorded interview with Roger Taylor, who was an electrical technician specialising in radar from 1963 to 2001. He worked in various parts of the UK, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands.
Roger Taylor was an apprentice electronics technician and trained on air defence radar. He describes his work on radar systems at RAF Boulmer, West Drayton and Lyneham. He served with 103 Maintenance Unit on Cyprus, with the Tactical Communications Wing at Brize Norton and in the Falkland Islands just after the 1982 war. He comments on the nature of the technology and changes with the end of the Cold War.
