MBDA Brimstone
Brimstone is a ground attack missile designed for use against vehicles. It can be laser-designated to a target or used autonomously to identify its target on a busy battlefield
Designed during the Cold War as a ‘fire and forget’ missile for use against armoured formations, it was later upgraded to dual mode missile with the addition of laser guidance. It is a low collateral close air support weapon for use against static or moving targets. It was first used operationally in 2009 and has been used on operations over Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and Iraq.
