Recorded interview with Jim Vinales, who served as a navigator in Canberra, Vulcan and Buccaneer aircraft, including participation in Operation Black Buck from Ascension Island during the 1982 Falklands War.

Jim Vinales trained as a navigator in Canberra aircraft and served with 45 Squadron in Singapore. He then converted to the Vulcan and flew with 44 Squadron in the UK. He remembers baling out of a Vulcan due to a fire and gives an account of his participation in Operation Black Buck 1 and 2 during the 1982 Falklands War. After the war he flew Buccaneer aircraft with 12 Squadron.
