Interview with Mike Snelling, who served as an RAF pilot in Hunter aircraft and as a civilian test pilot working on the development of the Sea Harrier and Hawk aircraft.
Mike Snelling flew Hawker Hunter aircraft with 208 Squadron in Bahrain before training at the Empire Test Pilots School at Boscombe Down. He describes his involvement in the development of the Sea Harrier, including the use of a skijump for takeoffs and Sidewinder missiles during the Falklands War. He comments further on his involvement in developing the Hawk training aircraft, the Sea Eagle anti-ship missile and the Sea Harrier F/A2.
