Interview with Andrew Roberts, who served as a pilot in Shackleton and Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft in the UK and Malta. He commanded 236 Operational Conversion Unit and RAF Kinloss.
Andrew Roberts flew Shackleton and Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft with 38 Squadron in Malta and as a flight commander with 201 Squadron. He remembers staff college in the United States and a posting to the staff of Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic. He commanded 236 Operational Conversion Unit at RAF St Mawgan, was station commander at RAF Kinloss and completed ground tours at High Wycombe, Northwood and the Ministry of Defence.
