Recorded interview with Corporal Vince Williams, 26 March 2019

Vince Williams was an airframe fitter on Javelin, Jet Provost, Vulcan, Hercules, VC10 and Belvedere aircraft in the UK, Borneo and Singapore. He also flew as a crewman in Belvederes.

Vince Williams trained as an apprentice airframe fitter at RAF Halton and worked on Javelin and Jet Provost aircraft at RAF Leeming. He was then posted to 26 Squadron at RAF Odiham, operating Belvedere helicopters. He explains how he fulfilled a secondary role as a helicopter crewman and remembers service with Belvederes in Borneo. He worked on Vulcans at RAF St Athan and in Singapore on Hercules and VC10 aircraft.
