Interview with Mark Bastable, who served as an RAF engine technician on Canberra, Victor and Tornado aircraft, including support for the Victors’ air-to-air refuelling operations during the 1982 Falklands War.
Mark Bastable trained as an engine technician and worked with Victor tanker aircraft at RAF Marham, including the provision of support to air-to-air refuelling operations during the 1982 Falklands War. He describes his later work with Canberra aircraft of 100 Squadron and then with the Tornado Aircraft Servicing Flight at Marham. He then moved to Boscombe Down to work on an operational evaluation unit, including trials of night vision goggles.
