Recorded interview with Wing Commander John Paige, 24 June 2019
Interview with John Paige, who served as an air traffic controller during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, including various RAF bases in the UK and tours in Bosnia and Afghanistan.
John Paige provided cover during a fire brigade strike, worked with ground support equipment and was commissioned as an air traffic controller. He remembers postings to RAF Leuchars, Boulmer, Watton, in Berlin and RAF Valley, He remembers his work at Banja Luka in Bosnia, including his role there and the conditions encountered. He later worked with the Red Arrows, with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in Naples and in Afghanistan.
