Amateur footage shot by Squadron Leader Sydney Nunn shows several small vessels of the RAF Marine Branch, RAF aircraft low over the sea and the officers’ mess of 916 Squadron.
Amateur footage shows various views of RAF personnel in an office and small vessels of the RAF Marine Craft Section on shore for maintenance work and at sea. Blackburn Baffin and Vickers Vildebeest aircraft pass overhead, a Baffin drops torpedoes into the water, men march and dance and men parade on a driveway with a sign nearby reading ‘916 Squadron entrance officers only’. Various views show officers in informal settings.
