Film on the development of RAF jet aircraft in the 1940s and 1950s, featuring various scenes of Hunter and Javelin fighter aircraft and Canberra, Valiant, Victor and Vulcan bomber aircraft.
The narrator comments on progression from Spitfire and Hurricane to the Hunter aircraft. Hunters of 41 Squadron pass low over Biggin Hill before landing and Gloster Javelin fighter aircraft are seen as the narrator comments on the Javelin’s role and capabilities. Gnat, DH.110, F.D.2 and P.1A aircraft are seen at a Farnborough air display and the narrator comments on bomber aircraft as Canberra, Valiant, Victor and Vulcan aircraft are seen.
