Delhi Victory Week Parade

Delhi Victory Week took place between 4-9 March 1946 to celebrate the defeat of the Axis Powers in 1945. The Parade held on the 7 March was comprised of a marching column and a column or armoured vehicles and was followed by a fly past by aircraft from the Royal Air Force and the Royal Indian Air Force. The parade occurred amid ongoing civil unrest and protests against the continued British rule in India.
