Interview with Stan Bellman, who served as an RAF electrician in the UK and with 173 Squadron, operating Lockheed Lodestar aircraft, in the Middle East during the Second World War.

Stan Bellman joined the RAF as an electrician in 1940. He remembers training and his role as a ground defence gunner at RAF North Weald. He describes the sea journey from the UK to Egypt by way of South Africa and his work on Lockheed Lodestar transport aircraft of 173 Squadron. He explains the role of the Lodestar, his work with American personnel and relations between ground crew and aircrew.
