Interview with Andy Carrodus, who served as an RAF Puma helicopter pilot and flying instructor during the 1990s and 2000s. He remembers operations in Northern Ireland, Belize and the Balkans.
Andy Carrodus flew Puma helicopters with 33 and 230 Squadrons from RAF Odiham. He operated in Northern Ireland, with 1563 Flight in Belize and from Ploče in Croatia. He gives detail on jungle operations in support of ground forces in Belize, and on the nature of operations in the Balkans. He explains how he became a Qualified Helicopter Tactics Instructor and how, after leaving the RAF, he moved to Australia.
