Belinda Mollan served as an RAF nurse specialising in aeromedical evacuation. She describes her work in relation to operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and with regard to highly infectious illnesses.
Belinda Mollan trained as a civilian nurse before joining the RAF. She served at the Royal Hospital Haslar, the Ministry of Defence Fire Training School at Manston and RAF Shawbury. She describes her work in the Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and explains its importance in the context of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. She describes the use of the Air Transportable Isolator (ATI) when dealing with infectious illnesses such as Ebola.
