Interview with Gary Fairhurst, who flew Jaguar and Tornado aircraft in the UK and Germany during the Cold War. His experience includes operations over Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War.

Gary Fairhurst flew Jaguar aircraft with 54 Squadron from RAF Coltishall. He describes the Jaguar’s role, weapons used and Exercises Red Flag and Maple Flag. He converted to the Tornado GR1 at RAF Cottesmore and RAF Honington and flew with 20 Squadron at RAF Laarbruch. He describes his role as a Qualified Weapons Instructor and his experience of operations over Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War, including the threats encountered.
