Mick McConnell outlines his role as an RAF Police dog handler and explains the need for and value of police dogs. He comments on the training of dogs and his deployment to Afghanistan with his dog, Memphis. He remembers how he was caught in the explosion of an improvised explosive device while patrolling with ground forces. He was evacuated by Chinook helicopter to Camp Bastion and then to the UK.
